After the data recovery operation, will the disk be fully functional?
As long as the disk was functional prior to repair, i.e. the fault was in the software, the disk will be functional. We only recommend to have it re-formatted and have the operation system re-installed. If the fault was in the hardware, the disk will not be functional.
How shall we deliver the disk for repair?
Either in person, or it will be collected in your offices by our currier free of charge (inside Czech Republic).
How will the recovered data be delivered back to us?
It depends on mutual agreement. We either record the data free of charge on a replacement hard disk (either delivered by you or purchased by Elsin) or, for a charge of CZK 150, we record the data on a DVD.
How are we to pay for data salvaging?
- cash upon handing over
- through eBank
- on delivery
- through bank transfer (in advance)
Will the data recovery operation affect the disk warranty?
In most cases not.
May I check the salvaged data in your firm prior to paying?
Yes.
Can we have the initial disk diagnostic test performed while one waits?
In most cases not.
May I be present during the salvaging operation?
No, among other things in consideration of the time requirements of the salvaging process.
What if I decide, following the diagnostic test, that I do not wish to have the data recovered?
We will give you back the memory medium concerned in the original condition and will charge you nothing.
